![]() News August 2005 Paperless office remains a myth / The paper tonnage rises steadily The REISSWOLF Group, first European service provider for data security and now market leader in Europe, believes that the paperless office will remain a myth. The specialist for data security disposed over 158.000 tons of data material in 2004 – primarily it was paper. "In the last years the paper tonnages increased by five to ten thousand tons annually," said Jan Möller, chairman of the board at REISSWOLF International AG and managing director of REISSWOLF Deutschland GmbH. The amount of written information would strongly increase – at the same time also the share of confidential information. "The handling of confidential data requires a lot of responsibility. After legitimate usage all the personal data have to be deleted or destroyed," explains Möller. This is regulated by national and international laws, as for example the EU-Directive for data security. To protect the company from espionage all the business data should be also proceeded in the same way. This should apply accordingly for written information as well as for data carriers like CDs or Hard Disk Drives. Especially remarkable is the fact that in the large companies like banks or insurances the amount of paper decreased by 10 to 20 per cent. "On the other hand the quantity of confidential information in small and medium-sized companies increased significantly" said Mr. Möller. The data expert knows how careless are such companies in dealing with personal information: "It has been alarming what kind of information one can find in the trash cans." August 2005 REISSWOLF extends it’s operations in the Eastern Europe / New partners should accelerate the expansion The REISSWOLF Group, first European service provider for data security / document destruction and now market leader in Europe, announced that the company wants to speed up the European expansion – especially in the Eastern Europe. Having already two long-time successful franchise partners in Budapest and Prague, REISSWOLF is currently looking for new partners in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia as well as in Russia and Ukraine. In addition there are negotiations going on in Slovenia and Slovakia, that can also be also successfully completed in the nearest future. "Currently we have 41 partners in 13 European countries", says Jan Möller, chairman of REISSWOLF International AG and adds: "By the end of the year we want to be represented in five new countries". The Eastern European market offers a lot of potential for REISSWOLF, primarily because of the fact that by now the data security wasn’t provided there as a service. "In our new target market we are looking for recycling companies, companies from the security branch, as well as from facility management and archive services", explains Möller. Furthermore there is a possibility to offer the document and data destruction as well as archive services as a start-up company under the brand name REISSWOLF. The most important demands on potential REISSWOLF franchisees are good business and commercial skills, experience in sales, close affinity to security issues as well as equity capital of at least 30.000 Euro. August 2005 REISSWOLF expands in Slovenia The REISSWOLF Group, first European service provider for data security and now market leader in Europe, announced that the company signed a franchise contract for Slovenia. "Our target is the strong expansion on the Eastern European market", explained Jan Möller, chairman of REISSWOLF International AG. With the signing of this contract REISSWOLF Group emphasises it’s leadership on the European Market for data security. In Slovenia REISSWOLF cooperates with reliable existing partners. Gerhard Traussing and Barbara Primus, who already profitably run REISSWOLF-Süd in Austria, will start a new REISSWOLF enterprise in Slovenia. "We have been successfully working together since 2000 ", said Möller. Now the franchisees should start the expansion and establish a new REISSWOLF enterprise in Ljubljana. The proximity of the existing REISSWOLF company in Wolfsberg to the Slovenian border will bring synergy effects for both companies. July 2005 Security instead of document destruction / Growing demand for security containers The REISSWOLF Group, first European service provider for data security / document destruction and now market leader in Europe, experiences enormous demand for it’s security containers RW 70 and RW 240. "After the London terror attacks and the ongoing situation of threat the interest in security has significantly increased", said Jan Möller, chairman of REISSWOLF International AG. However, not the data security is the main issue, but the general security itself – especially within big companies. "Our containers have relatively small slits and are made of aluminium, this offers a certain additional security", explains Jan Möller. Especially in the UK the demand for models RW 70 and RW 240 has increased considerably. RW 70 is used as a data paper basket that fits perfectly under the desk and can be filled through the slit on the top. The RW 240 is filled in the same manner, however, the “all-rounder” is normally being used in rooms with office copier in it and data centres. "We observe that for many companies it’s becoming more important that no big items can be placed in the baskets”, explains Möller the growing interest in REISSWOLF security containers. July 2005 REISSWOLF helps to keep the financial transactions safe / 16 million cash cards destroyed in first half of 2005 The REISSWOLF Group, first European service provider for data security / document destruction and now market leader in Europe, destroyed almost 16 million cash cards in first half of 2005. Professional disposal of cash cards becomes more and more important nowadays. Mostly because of the fact that even expired cash cards could be used in criminal activities. REISSWOLF Group offers with it’s competent and professional data and document destruction a secure solution for this problem. "Especially in case of such confidential data professional disposal is enormously important", said Jan Möller, chairman of REISSWOLF Group. Therefore it is very important that consumers do not throw away their old cash cards in the daily trash. Even if the cash cards are being dissected and then thrown away in the daily waste, it is still possible to get the data from the magnetic strip. However, the expired cash cards that are collected by the banks can be professionally destroyed by REISSWOLF. After such disposal one can completely exclude the fraudulent use of cash cards. The cash cards are being shredded at security level 3 (pieces smaller than 320 square millimetres) and then pyrolysed. REISSWOLF destroyed over 15,6 million cash cards in the first half of 2005. This fact demonstrates that REISSWOLF Group is a competent and professional partner for confidential data disposal. Several major banks and health insurances let the REISSWOLF dispose their confidential material. |
